Export-Import Guideline for Fish & Fisheries Products (USDA/Land o Lakes Venture 37)

CDCS® is proud to lead a pioneering initiative aimed at enhancing transparency and access to information in one of Bangladesh’s most vital sectors — fisheries. Under the USDA-funded Bangladesh Trade Facilitation Project, implemented by Land O’Lakes Venture37, CDCS® was entrusted with a specialized research and content development assignment focused on the international trade of fish and fisheries products in Bangladesh.

In a country where the fisheries sector plays a critical role in food security, livelihoods, and export earnings, access to clear, and reliable trade information is essential. CDCS® rose to this challenge by spearheading the development of a comprehensive, data-driven Agro-Trade Section within the Bangladesh Trade Portal (BTP). This newly created knowledge resource provides traders, exporters, policymakers, and other stakeholders with up-to-date, actionable insights into regulatory processes, export-import procedures, and global market dynamics specific to fish and fish products.

Through this initiative, CDCS is actively supporting Bangladesh’s national efforts to reduce trade barriers, promote transparency, and align with international trade facilitation standards—ultimately contributing to a more competitive and inclusive agro-trade environment for the fisheries sector.
