CDCS® carried out the study titled “Potential & Challenges of Business Expansion by Bangladeshi Women: A Preliminary Assessment” for Women in Small Enterprise (WISE). The objective was to explore the enabling factors and barriers faced by women entrepreneurs in scaling their businesses.
CDCS® conducted in-depth interviews with women-led enterprises across diverse sectors and developed illustrative case studies to capture real-life experiences. Through rigorous qualitative analysis, the study identified key opportunities for business growth as well as structural, cultural, and institutional challenges limiting expansion. The findings provided valuable insights to inform policy dialogue and targeted support mechanisms for women entrepreneurs in Bangladesh.
