CDCS® implemented the project titled “Need Assessment for Customized Marketing Communication Services (MCS) for Existing and Potential SME Sectors with Unmet Demand in Bogra and Greater North Bengal” during 2006–2007, under Swisscontact KATALYST with funding from UKaid, DFID, GIZ, SDC, EKN, and CIDA. The assignment aimed to identify the specific marketing communication needs of SMEs in the region and assess gaps in service provision.
CDCS® conducted a comprehensive need assessment to explore both general and customized MCS demand, employing structured questionnaire surveys and the key informant technique to gather insights from SME owners, service providers, and local stakeholders. The findings were analyzed to determine practical implications for market-based interventions, and a detailed report was prepared to inform future strategies for improving SME access to tailored marketing communication services.
