CDCS® implemented the "Post-Harvest Management & Packaging Market Development – Phase 1" project during 2010–2011 in partnership with Swisscontact KATALYST, funded by a consortium including UKaid, DFID, GIZ, SDC, EKN, and CIDA. The project focused on improving post-harvest practices in the vegetable, fruit, fish, and flower value chains in Bangladesh.
As part of its key contributions, CDCS® conducted field tests to assess the effectiveness and adaptability of various post-harvest technologies across different contexts. Additionally, CDCS® developed practical and user-friendly training modules aimed at enhancing the knowledge and capacity of value chain actors in post-harvest handling, preservation, and packaging, contributing to reduced loss and increased market competitiveness.
