CDCS® pioneered the establishment of Bangladesh’s very first Uniform Grading System for Commodity Trading Platforms in collaboration with Grameenphone, marking a breakthrough in digital agriculture and market modernization. Anchored in the themes of Agriculture, Climate Change, and Sustainability, this initiative combined rigorous survey, research, and scoping to understand crop value chains and market standards. Through extensive stakeholder engagement involving farmers, traders, policymakers, and technology partners, 

 

CDCS® co-designed a practical and inclusive solution that elevated transparency and quality assurance in agri-trading. The project’s strategic intervention design and implementation resulted in a user-friendly, ICT-enabled grading system and manual that standardized the evaluation of agricultural commodities for online trading. By integrating digital economy and ICT tools with sustainable agricultural practices, CDCS® not only enhanced farmers’ market access but also laid the foundation for climate-smart, technology-driven value chain transformation in Bangladesh.
