Under the UKaid/DFID, GIZ, SDC, EKN, and CIDA-supported Swisscontact KATALYST program, CDCS® led the development of specialized Rural Marketing course content tailored for Bangladeshi business schools.
The initiative addressed a long-standing academic gap by integrating country-specific rural market realities—consumer behavior, supply chains, distribution challenges, and inclusive business models—into formal curricula. This effort not only enhanced the contextual relevance of marketing education but also strengthened student skills to operate in underserved and high-potential rural economies.
By reinforcing industry–academia linkages and aligning teaching frameworks with national development priorities, the course development supported systemic curriculum reform and helped nurture a new generation of business leaders equipped to drive inclusive and market-responsive growth in Bangladesh.
