CDCS® facilitated a critical stakeholder engagement initiative to support the relocation and sustainable management of Jessore’s flower market —Bangladesh’s largest hub, supplying nearly 70% of the national flower demand, under USAID / DAI, Bangladesh Agricultural Value Chains (AVC) project. Through structured consultations and inclusive dialogue, stakeholders collectively agreed on a suitable new market location while ensuring continuous trading activities and protecting thousands of livelihoods dependent on the sector.
The assignment also fostered stronger collaboration among producers, traders, government authorities, and utility agencies, creating a foundation for long-term cooperation. This process not only enhanced market functionality but also contributed to the resilience and growth of Bangladesh’s flower value chain.
