CDCS® conducted the “MSME Access to Finance: A Country Study on Bangladesh” for UNESCAP, delivering a comprehensive and validated diagnostic report that now informs regional dialogue on MSME financing. The study provided in-depth analysis of financing gaps, barriers, and opportunities for micro, small, and medium enterprises, with a strong focus on inclusivity and gender equity.
CDCS® highlighted critical policy and institutional reform priorities, including the need to strengthen financial literacy and credit-readiness programs for women entrepreneurs, design gender-responsive financial products and services, and enhance coordination among regulators, industry associations, and financial institutions.
The study’s evidence-based recommendations have contributed to shaping strategies for improving MSME access to finance and promoting equitable economic growth in Bangladesh.
