Starting from 2008 up to 2014, for 5 years CDCS® developed comprehensive “Policy Memo” for the Real Estate & Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) to support evidence-based negotiation with the Government of Bangladesh.
The memo aimed to highlight the sector’s key challenges, growth potential, and policy reform needs. CDCS® conducted a wide range of research activities, including field surveys, focus group discussions (FGDs), and structured questionnaire surveys to capture demand-side perspectives from prospective homeowners and buyers.
In-depth interviews were also conducted with real estate developers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to understand supply-side constraints. The resulting policy memo combined data-driven insights with strategic recommendations, strengthening REHAB’s advocacy efforts for regulatory improvements and sectoral support.
