 Programs & Initiatives

1. SME COMPETITIVENESS PROGRAM

Working on SME issues is a core activity at CDCS®. The program is aimed at assisting small and medium enterprises to become and remain competitive in a sustainable manner. This program brings forth a host of solutions for MSME Promotion Agencies as well as SMEs. These include –

Capacity Building of SME Promotion Agencies and SMEs
SME Training & Technology Need Assessment
SME Intervention Management (Design, Implementation & Monitoring)
BDS for SMEs (Feasibility Study, Business Plan, Market Linkage, Accounting, Communication, ICT Assistance etc.)
Baseline, End-line & Impact Assessment Surveys

To this end, CDCS® partners with chambers and industry associations, government agencies and development organizations that rely on market in addressing poverty and actively promote market development in an effort to help the poorer and disadvantageous section of the society to better address the livelihood challenges that they face.

2. CDCS® AgB ALLIANCE

CDCS® AgBAlliance® is an emerging platform of professionals and organizations involved in agribusiness and agricultural development initiatives. Through this platform, CDCS® strives to bring together different stakeholders on a common mission of 'ensuring food security and fighting poverty through agricultural development and agribusiness competitiveness'. The platform also opens the door of collaboration for the private sector players to explore mutually beneficial business opportunities and activities, while serving the society’s need. CDCS® AgBAlliance® also endeavors to build and facilitate public-private partnership to uniquely support agricultural development and agribusiness competitiveness and thereby attack poverty at the base of the pyramid (BoP).

3. CDCS® SWASTHYASEBA

CDCS® SwasthyaSeba™ is a healthcare management development program pursued by CDCS® since its inception. Under this program, CDCS® works in collaboration with its partners – that usually include healthcare service providers as well as related businesses and development organizations – to build a sound human capital base and a strong organizational structure which is efficient, customer-responsive and humane. While ensuring greater access to improved healthcare services by all, the program in the process also aims at improving competitiveness of the healthcare service providers and related businesses.

4. EDUCATION FOR LIFE & LIVELIHOOD (E4L)

E4L is a unique humble CSR program of CDCS®. Through this innovative program, CDCS® strives to cater to the unmet needs of the educated youths in Bangladesh. These are the needs that most of the educational institutes in the country fail to satisfy primarily due to the very design of the education system and lack of well-developed local knowledge contents. E4L makes it possible for CDCS® to groom students and educated youths through the following initiatives:

Next Generation Leadership Program (NexgenLP) for Students
Career Activation Program (Cap) for Educated Unemployed
Entrepreneurship Development Program (Endep) for Educated Women & Men
Enterprise Incubation Lab for Budding Entrepreneurs

Through these initiatives, students and educated youths get hands-on training in and real life exposure to various activities, projects and programs pursued by CDCS® and its affiliates and/or partner organizations. CDCS® Knowledge Institute is the prime implementation body of this program.

5. CDCS® CORPORATE ADDA

CDCS® CorporateAdda™ is aimed at accumulating, promoting and disseminating home-grown knowledge involving business and development management. CDCS® passionately pursues this humble initiative to honor local wisdom and to facilitate free flow of ideas through meaningful debates and discussions. Leaders and professionals from business and development sectors join CDCS® CorporateAdda™ events and share their valuable experiences and insights on given subjects. CDCS® Knowledge Institute is the prime implementation body of this program.
